Jastine Tan is an independent Singaporean filmmaker based in London. He believes in storytelling that is entertaining at its core, because film is for the masses and ideas land best when the audience is engaged.
His work blends grounded, darkly comic storytelling with heightened concepts, and often centres on outsiders and the systems around them.
His short films have screened at festivals including Sunderland Short Film Festival, Cine65, and the National Youth Film Awards. He is currently developing new narrative shorts.
Alongside his narrative work, he has directed commercial projects for clients including LEOS International, Lancôme Asia, and Changi Airport Group.
